This #WalkerLoveStorei began in the summer of 2005 when a mutual friend decided to play matchmaker—though, as it turns out, he fibbed a bit to each of them about their interest in one another! Shaniqua knew Jemeil as the funny, handsome band member with the braids, while Jemeil knew Shaniqua as the cute and short cheerleader who wore Melissa's.

Who would have guessed that one phone call (on three-way with Johnny because neither of them was allowed to be on the phone) would set the stage for their lives together, 20 years later? As high school sweethearts, they’ve shared endless laughters and created countless memories; they practically grew up together! Their journey has taken them from Mississippi to Arkansas and now Texas, with each move adding its own chapter to their story.

On April 8, 2023, Jemeil popped the question, and Shaniqua couldn’t help but exclaim, “Finally!” Just a few months later, in June 2023, they welcomed their beautiful baby girl, Storei, into the world, who has a front-row seat in witnessing this #WalkerLoveStorei. Now, they’re eagerly anticipating their wedding in July 2025, excited to celebrate their love with each of you.
